The 20-40-50yd targets are ready for use, to see photos go to the members Archery Forum.  Ideally the 50yd should be shot from the right side and out from under the platform, in line with the target.  There are two concrete blocks sunk into the ground behind the brick shooting line.  First block is 60yds, the second, going up the hill is 70yds.  They will be painted and numbered.

20yd has the xBow & Brdhead targets mounted and secure under the platform.  

30yd will be finished same as the 20yd.

The new 'Rinehart Brick Wall' backers are for compound/traditional bows, and arrows tipped with field points ONLY.  NO XBOWS OR BROADHEADS SHOT INTO THE NEW BACKERS.  PLEASE USE APPROPRIATE TARGETS.       

We attached large cardboard to the foam backers so the targets wouldn't tear as fast.  Additional push 'pins' will be supplied at each target stand.  Maintenance of targets will be ongoing.

As you can see from the photos, signs are attached to the backers indicating how each target is to be used.  There is a sign on the bulletin board, attached to the elevated stand nearest the steps, also indicating what can be shot at each target.  And a notice of liability for anyone found misusing/damaging the targets.

We consider this to be a state of the art archery range utilizing newest technology to provide the best practice facility.  Please treat it as such.

Greetings all 3D archery shooters, mark you calendars.  TSC 3D will be holding three shoots this year 2024..June 23, July 14 and August 11, 2024.

As last year, the course sign-in, parking and course start will be on the outdoor rifle range.  30 target course.

Sign-in will be at the outdoor rifle range.

Parking will be on the range.

Practice bags for warm-up and sight-in will be on the range.

Drinks and snacks will be available

The range road gate at the pistol house will be locked open for access.

Registration - 8am to 12pm

Cost - $10, children 12 and under free.

Crossbows allowed.

Range finders allowed.

TSC Target/3D League to start May 7,2024 for six consecutive Tues. ending June 11, 2024.  Open to members and non-members.  

2024 Trafford Sportsmen’s Target/3D League

League will shoot every Tues. for six wks. @ 6:00pm beginning May 7, 2024 thru June 11, 2024.  Shooters can shoot anytime during the week for those who cannot make Tues. evenings.  Must shoot 4 of 6 weeks.  Four best cumulative scores used to be eligible for end of league prizes.  Scorecards and pencils are in the box on bench under elevated platform.

10 3D animals on the walk-thru and 5 shots each at 20 & 30yd target backers for a total of 20 shots.

Animals will be left in same locations with pink shooting flags moved each week.    

Entry fee is $5/wk, half going towards prize money: 25%, 15%, 10%.

Range finders allowed.  NO CROSSBOWS.

PTARC (Penn-Trafford Area Recreational Classes) archery class instruction will be held April 2-May 7 2024.  Classes will be held at the indoor pistol range from 6:00-7:30pm.  All equipment will be provided if your child does not have their own.   Registration is done through PTARC website, not through the club.
